One of 3000 - Script Only
This product is to purchase the script for One of 3000. There are no additional resources (promo materials, communication with scriptwriter, etc).
This script focuses on a fictional character, a Roman Centurion named Tiberius, who is present at all of the major events leading up to, including and following the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. In a very moving drama, we watch as Tiberius follows orders to arrest Jesus, oversee his punishment, crucifixion and the guarding of the tomb. Following the resurrection of Jesus, we find Tiberius looking for some definitive answers and discovers himself face to face with the man that he crucified just a few days before. He then finds himself in Jerusalem as the disciples are gathered in the upper room and has himself a conversion experience that results in him becoming One of 300 converts on that day.
There are some creative liberties taken to incorporate Tiberius into the story, but none which affect the Biblical accuracy of doctrinal topics. They are as follows:
Roman soldiers are the ones who take Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane
Angels are portrayed as singing around Jesus as he is crucified on the cross
Tiberius is the one who asks the question “What must we do to be saved?”
Some of the interactions between Jesus, His disciples and other mourners are combined into one pivotal interaction as opposed to creating separate scenes, and this scene includes Tiberius and a personal interaction between the two.
This drama requires a substantial cast and crew. The roles are also male-heavy and will require at a minimum 25 male actors (Jesus, Tiberius, Pilate, 5 additional Roman soldiers, 12 disciples, Chief Priest, 2 Elders). It’s important to realise how substantial of an undertaking this particular drama can be as it requires an ascension, a full music team, an expansive number of costumes (we made nearly 70 including extras and crowd), multiple sets, stage hands and more.
